Google tries to make switching to Android easier from iOS with this new app

It was previously rumoured that Google might be launching some kind of app that will help iOS users transfer their data to Android if they want to because cross-platform transfers are really a headache. So, an official app for the same could really solve the problem for many and this is why Google has officially launched the new ‘Switch to Android’ iOS App.

In this way, Google can easily attract iPhone users to switch to the Android ecosystem and using an official Google app for this will solve the purpose as well. As pointed out by TechCrunch, Google rolled this app out on Monday in the US along with several other markets but without doing any publicity about it.

Even though Google has this “Switch to Android” website that it has explained the steps to switch to the Android ecosystem but with an App, things will be much easier for all types of users. One can easily transfer over photos, videos, contacts, and calendar events, almost all types of data from iCloud.

This is a fair move from Google because Apple already had its “Move to iOS” app and dedicated website to lure Android users. Now, for Google, this is a much-needed step that will eventually help a lot of users.
