Google Chrome is the undisputed champion of desktop browser popularity, according to web analytics service StatCounter.
For a while, the browser held the top spot, and other companies are nowhere near the number Google has achieved. However, there will be fluctuations as one browser beats the other, but Google’s Chrome browser remains at the top.
In terms of numbers, the Apple Safari web browser is installed on 11.87 percent of all desktop computers worldwide. Microsoft’s Edge browser is ranked 11th, trailing Apple’s Safari browser for desktops by only 0.87 percent. Google Chrome, on the other hand, has a massive market share of 66.13 percent. For a while, the Chrome browser held the top spot due to improved features and easier navigation.
Despite being far behind Google Chrome, Apple’s Safari desktop browser surpassed Microsoft Edge desktop browser this year. While the difference between the two is small, Safari is on the right track.
