## The Stories Behind the Rumors

**Kim Go Eun** is probably the name most fans associate with the **Gong Yoo girlfriend** question. After their legendary on-screen chemistry in *Goblin*, a 2017 interview where Kim Go Eun mentioned a recent breakup sent the internet into a frenzy. Both agencies quickly shot down the speculation.

Then came **Jung Yu Mi** — a rumor so specific that someone claimed the two were secretly getting married at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul. Gong Yoo’s agency dismissed it firmly, and Gong Yoo himself later clarified in a 2019 interview that while they don’t connect much personally, they work brilliantly as professional collaborators.

**Im Soo Jung** faced perhaps the most dramatic rumour — that the pair had secretly wed in the USA after filming *Finding Mr Destiny*. Again, the agency called it completely groundless.

What all these rumors share? Undeniable on-screen chemistry — and a very private actor who refuses to let his personal life spill into public view. Even Gong Yoo has jokingly admitted in interviews that he once reached out to an ex while drunk — and was relieved she didn’t reply. Relatable, honestly.
