The Greatest of all time

Greatest of All Time (GOAT), Thalapathy Vijay’s most recent movie, has experienced a remarkable run at the box office since its premiere. Although the film got off to a great start, its earnings have fluctuated significantly, especially after the first week. Day 19 saw a 77% decline in India’s collections. On day 20, the movie remained stable despite the difficulties, making it its third Tuesday in theaters.

Day 20 of the GOAT(The Greatest of all time) Box Office Collection

After 19 days of screening, GOAT has accumulated a net collection of Rs 245.65 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. The film was released on September 5, 2024, and based on its current box office performance, it may be difficult for it to surpass the Rs 300 crore mark anytime soon. After breaking the Rs 100 crore mark in just three days, the movie garnered headlines at first, but ticket sales have subsequently sharply declined.

The Greatest of all time

Global Earnings and Budget Reports state that approximately Rs 446 crore has been collected globally for GOAT. Considering its alleged budget of Rs 400 crore, it’s one of the priciest Tamil movies ever made. Interestingly, Thalapathy Vijay reportedly received Rs 200 crore for his part in this large-scale undertaking.

An All-Star Cast

The movie also stars Sneha, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Jayaram, and Mohan in addition to Vijay. Vijay plays two roles in the action thriller GOAT, which also contains sci-fi aspects. His portrayal of Gandhi, a member of a unique anti-terrorism unit, gives the story a compelling depth. Ajmal Ameer, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vaibhav, Yogi Babu, Premgi Amaren, Laila, and Yugendran are among the other actors in the movie. The fast-paced energy of the movie is complemented by Yuvan Shankar Raja’s soundtrack.

After launching his political organization, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, Vijay is supposedly making a big move towards a political career with GOAT. For his next project, he will work with H Vinoth, who is well-known for his role in Valimai; this will be his last on screen appearance.
