Gigabyte’s latest Aorus P1200W power supply now features a full-color LCD screen which is in itself an achievement. We can display, which can display custom text, pictures, GIFs, as well as Videos on its LCD screen.

You can even watch your favorite movies on the side of your PSU. This is simply amazing. We have previously seen Asus’s ROG Thor which had its very own display however, Asus’s product had a displays power draw, which made it hard to watch our favorite movies.

But I mean come on, we rarely use our PSU screens to stream movies and the most practical use of a screen on a PSU is showing stats such as your fan speed or temperature.

Coming back to Gigabyte, the OEM is yet to reveal the exact size or resolution of the screen and we still have no idea about the refresh rate of the screen. And some are even wondering as to whether they will be able to play games on the screen, the answer to which we will know soon enough.

Gigabyte has also added some goodness of RGB and just underneath the screen, we have a thin RGB line and the Aorus logo, which can be adjusted within RGB Fusion 2.0, Gigabyte’s RGB software. The design is fabulous.

To complete the screen and design we have the best in-line power supply for the PSU, the P1200W features an 80-Plus Platinum rating, fully modular cables, and a 140mm fan. It also has an input current of 15-7.5A as well as a full-range input voltage along with hold-up time of >16ms, active PFC, and Japanese capacitors.

While making use of the PSU just make sure that your case has a removable PSU shroud so that you can make better use of the screen since most cases these days come with shrouds covering the lower part of the case.

As for the prices of the Gigabyte AORUS P1200W PSU, the OEM did not disclose it. The shipping date is also not yet known. Let’s wait for more information to arrive.
