Inter Kashi have confirmed the arrival of Gianni Dos Santos from Canadian club Atletico Ottawa. The 25-year-old becomes the latest to join the I-League and is expected to replace Mario Barco, with several ISL clubs keeping tabs on the Spaniard during the January transfer window.
An official statement from Ottawa revealed that the transfer went through for an undisclosed fee. And only months after making the move to the CPL club, from whom he scored two goals and provided as many assists in 19 games, he has made the move to the second tier in India.

Born in Rotterdam, Gianni Dos Santos represents the Cape Verde national team, and has made one appearance for them in the summer of 2022. He started out his career with Dordrecht in the Netherlands, before moving to Canadian side Pacific FC in 2021. He spent two years with them before joining Ottawa, and is now expected to participate in the Kalinga Super Cup for Inter Kashi.
The forward scored a mere five goals and provided six assists in 56 Canadian Premier League games. His overall career record reads 23 goals and 14 assists in 144 games overall, including his time in the Netherlands.
While it isn’t an exceptional return for a striker by any means, he could turn things around with the right environment at Inter Kashi.
