Germany Euro 2024 Squad confirmed: Hosts name 26-man shortlist

Julian Nagelsmann has finalised the Germany Euro 2024 Squad for the summer tournament, which they will be hosting. Alexander Nubel has been left out of the final list, with Nagelsmann initially naming four goalkeepers in his provisional list.

Die Mannschaft will be playing Ukraine and Greece in friendly warm up games ahead of the tournament, before taking on Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland in their Group A fixtures.

Germany Euro 2024 Squad finalised: Alexander Nubel misses out

Goalkeepers: Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich), Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Barcelona), Oliver Baumann (Hoffenheim)

Defenders: Waldemar Anton, Maximilian Mittelstadt (both Stuttgart), Benjamin Henrichs, David Raum (both RB Leipzig), Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich), Robin Koch (Frankfurt), Antonio Rudiger (Real Madrid), Nico Schlotterbeck (Borussia Dortmund), Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen)

Midfielders: Robert Andrich, Florian Wirtz (both Bayer Leverkusen), Chris Fuhrich (Stuttgart), Pascal Gross (Brighton), Ilkay Gundogan (Barcelona), Toni Kroos (Real Madrid), Jamal Musiala, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Leroy Sane (all Bayern Munich)

Forwards: Maximilian Beier (Hoffenheim), Niclas Fullkrug (Borussia Dortmund), Kai Havertz (Arsenal), Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich), Deniz Undav (Stuttgart)

This will be the last time Toni Kroos plays professional football, with the midfielder already calling time on his club career with Real Madrid after the Champions League final, which he won. The veteran provided instant impact upon his return to the Germany national team last time around, and will be expected to shoulder the expectations from the national team this time around.

Germany suffered an early exit last time around against eventual finalists England. As they are hosting the tournament this time around, fans will be hoping for a better performance from the team, which looks good enough to make it deep into the tournament on paper.
