Garmin Forerunner 745 has been launched in the market to target a specific type of audience. This time the company has its eyes set on elite athletes.
Forerunner 745 comes with an advanced GPS built specifically for runners and triathletes. It helps in providing them with detailed training data, on-device workouts, and other similar features.
The smartwatch lets users sync indoor and outdoor workouts automatically from Garmin connect. Other training apps such as Training-peaks and Training-road are also supported.
One of the most important features of Forerunner 745 is its support of the Garmin Coach. The Coach offers the users free training plans that adapt one’s goals and performance.

The smartwatch features a 1.2-inch color display with 240×240 pixels resolution. The display is a trans-reflective memory-in-pixel display. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass DX. The smartwatch also has water resistance up to 5 ATM.
It comes with a built-in GPS and can last up to 7 days on a single charge. While using GPS without music the Forerunner can easily last up to 16 hours. But while using GPS with music the time comes down to 6 hours.
Forerunner 745 sensors include an accelerometer, barometric altimeter, compass, Glonass, gyroscope, and a thermometer. The smartwatch comes with a silicon band. The watch supports Bluetooth, ANT+, and Wi-Fi.
The watch also comes with a bunch of fitness features. This includes a heart rate monitor, blood oxygen saturation, stress tracking, sleep monitoring, and also menstrual cycle monitoring.
The smartwatch also features a step counter, distance calculator, calorie counter, and multiple gym activity profiles. the device can also monitor cardio workouts, strength, yoga, Pilates workout, and also has automatic rep counting.
Other features
Users will be able to receive notifications on the smartwatch which is exclusive for Android devices only. Notifications include text messages, social media updates, emails, and more.
The Garmin Forerunner 745 is priced at $499 (roughly Rs. 36,700) in the US and is currently up for sale on the official website. As of now, there is no information on international availability.
