There have been numerous rumours surrounding Gareth Bale leaving Real Madrid in the last few transfer windows. Last summer, it was almost decided that Bale was signing for a Chinese club but the deal fell through at the last moment.
Bale has dropped down to the lowest level of the pecking order at Real Madrid. It clearly shows Zidane doesn’t trust the Welshman. It has been Bale’s fault as well. He lacks the motivation to play for Madrid and his body language is terrible. A player who wants to play for one of the biggest clubs should definitely have more dedication.

First, it came to the news that Zidane has omitted Bale from the 24-man squad travelling to play against Manchester City. Sergio Ramos, who can’t play as he received a red card in the first leg has been named in the squad instead. Zidane feels that he’ll get more out of an unavailable-for-selection Ramos than he will from a fully-fit Gareth Bale.
It seemed Bale was humiliated by this decision and has made up his mind not to play for Madrid again.
But now Zidane has dropped a bombshell. He told about Bale’s absence: “Many things are said. We have a relationship of respect between the coach and the player. The only thing I can say, and it’s a personal thing, is that he preferred not to play. The rest is something between me and him.”

Zidane was also asked to confirm that Bale didn’t travel due to a personal decision rather than a technical decision. He replied: “Yes”.
He was then asked if Bale has a future at Real Madrid. He commented: “Right now, he is a Real Madrid player and I respect that. I respect Gareth and all the players. What is said in the dressing room stays in the dressing room.”
But it’s surprising to hear Bale didn’t want to travel for a crucial Champions League match. It is a clear sign of disrespect to the club. If he has decided not to play for Real Madrid he should quickly find a new club because the Bernabeu fans aren’t going to tolerate such nuisances.
