Gabriel Jesus is expected to move to Arsenal at the end of the current season. The Manchester City number 9 is out of a contract in June 2023, and is on the transfer list since he won’t be renewing his deal.

The arrival of Erling Haaland is also a big factor in the decision, since it will limit his playing time in the starting eleven dramatically. As a result, with only one year remaining before his deal runs out, Manchester City are prepared to cash in on him.

Transfer fee being discussed for Gabriel Jesus transfer to Arsenal

Despite having a seemingly limited number of appearances in the starting line-up, Gabriel Jesus has been able to score 13 goals and provide 12 assists in 39 games across all competitions.

His market value is €50 million, and that is around the region that Arsenal might have to pay for the player. His agent recently talked about there being as many as six clubs interested in signing him at the end of the season.

But Arsenal are emerging as the frontrunners, particularly because of their project. A reunion with former Man City assistant coach Mikel Arteta will also be favourable for the Brazilian, since it would help him adapt to the environment at the new club as well. With Alexandre Lacazette leaving the club as a free agent at the end of the campaign, Jesus will become the primary striker in the line-up and will have plenty of game time on the pitch.
