Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga has been in phenomenal form this season. The youngster recently scored his ninth goal of the season, which came from 25 appearances in the league.
The 20-year-old came through Celta’s academy, and made his debut as a teenager. Since then, he has improved significantly and is attracting interest from not only Real Madrid but also clubs in the Premier League.
Gabri Veiga attracting interest from Real Madrid and Premier League
The likes of Manchester City, United, Arsenal and Liverpool have been linked with the Spaniard’s signature this summer. However, he reportedly prefers a move to Real Madrid over England.
There is a release clause worth €40 million included in his current deal, and the clubs in contention will not have any problem paying that amount. The decision, as a result, is up to the player and which project he chooses to join.
Real Madrid are planning to phase out their veterans, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos very soon. However, the presence of Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Dani Ceballos could mean a lack of regular game time for the youngster.
They have been linked with a big money transfer for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham as well. But, Gabri Veiga could prove to be a cheaper and productive alternative if they can reach an agreement with him.
