Full list of Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami friendly matches in 2024 revealed

Lionel Messi is set to return to preseason training with Inter Miami after spending time in Argentina over the previous month. The forward will now appear for a number of medical tests before joining team training for the upcoming fixtures over January. 

The upcoming year promises to be a huge one for Messi, since it will be his first full season away from Europe. Inter Miami have scheduled a number of mouth watering friendly matches to prepare for the new season, and it features a huge game against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

• Al Hilal vs Inter Miami, 29 Jan 
• Al Nassr vs Inter Miami, 1 Feb 
• Hong Kong XI vs Inter Miami, 4 Feb
• Inter Miami vs Vissel Kobe, 7 Feb 
• Inter Miami vs Newell’s Old Boys, 15 Feb 

After the friendly fixtures across Asia and then at home, Inter Miami will begin their MLS season when they host Real Salt Lake on 22 February. 

The Argentine will also be defending the Leagues Cup title, where all teams from the MLS and Liga MX face one another. Their title defence will start on July 26, with the final set to take place on August 25. 

Messi will also debut in the concachampions, facing the winner of the playoff between Nashville and Dominican Republic outfit Moca in the Round of 16.
