Vought’s superheroes and Marvel’s mutants are getting closer. *The Boys* and its spin-off *Gen V* keep sending talent to the MCU, and the latest recruit takes flight as Angel.

### Who Is Angel?

In the comics, Angel is a wealthy young man with feathered wings who hides his mutation until he joins the X-Men. He debuted in *X-Men #1* in 1963, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and was recruited by Cyclops and Iceman for the original team. Germann’s Sam Riordan in *Gen V* was a tragic, super-strong student prone to hallucinations, which shows his dramatic range.

### Interesting Notes

The Direct points out that Theron’s Clea hasn’t been seen since the *Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness* post-credits scene, with rumors suggesting a return in *Avengers: Doomsday* because incursions are central to the plot. That’s a rumor, not a confirmation. The outlet also hopes Esposito’s Sidewinder gets more to do after the post-*Secret Wars* reset, which is also opinion.
