“We are pleased to have reached an agreement to become custodians of this iconic football club. We look forward to providing stability to the club and sharing our vision for its future, including the completion of the new Everton Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock,” Friedkin Group revealed in a statement.
The takeover is subject to Premier League approval, and will only go through once the league gives the green light. The two parties previously had an agreement for the sale of the club, but things ended before being reignited all of a sudden a few weeks ago.
The new ownership will lead the club into their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, in what will also be a whole new era for the Toffees.
