The number 11 jersey was previously worn by Angel Correa(the Argentine Forward), who will, in turn, inherit number 10 jersey which was worn by Yannick Carrasco, who went to Chinese club Dalian Yifang back in February…

The 22-year-old was featured just once for the World Cup 2018 against Denmark. In that match, France suffered a goalless draw in the Group C match.

Thomas played 3 years for Monaco and they have thanked him for his service towards his club. They also have sent best wishes for his new adventure at Atletico via social media…

“Antoine and Lucas have told me lots about the club. I’m very happy with the decision I have made.

I know this team demands hard work and I’ll give it all for the team. If I need to run more I’ll do it without a problem.”

The midfielder has a good past record for Monaco. He scored 22 goals and 32 assists in his 127 appearances for the club since 2015. Lemar won the Ligue 1 title for the 2016/17 season.

He also helped his previous team Monaco to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.
