Club legend Frank Lampard has now been officially sacked from his role as the Chelsea manager. After 18 months in charge, and as their best ever player, Lampard is and will continue to be the most cherished Chelsea player in the eyes of the Blues faithful.
Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel is waiting in the wings to be officially announced as the next in charge of the Stamford Bridge Blues. So as Frank Lampard bids goodbye to Chelsea, he has written a heartfelt message to all the Chelsea fans.
“It has been a huge privilege and an honour to manage Chelsea, a club that has been a big part of my life for so long,” the message read.
“Firstly I would like to thank the fans for the incredible support that I have received over the last 18 months. I hope they know what it means to me.”
