We all know that Huawei is blacklisted by the US Government so that the Chinese giant can’t make a business deal with any of the US-based companies. Now, the US government also insisting its allies to ban Huawei’s 5G gears. It becomes a matter of concern for many countries like the UK. On the same continent, France may not have a plan to ban Huawei’s 5G gear fully. Instead, the France Government wouldn’t cheer to the telecommunication companies to go for Huawei.
As per the head of the French cybersecurity agency ANSSI, they are not going to impose a total ban on the use of Huawei’s 5G technology launched in France. They are approaching the telecom companies no to take Huawei’s gears as an option.
“What I can say is that there won’t be a total ban. (But) for operators that are not currently using Huawei, we are inciting them not to go for it,” – Guillaume Poupard to Les Echos newspaper.
The US government continuously claimed the Chinese company can use its 5G service for spying on behalf of the Chinese government. So France just wants to keep Huawei out of its main mobile network section as that processes customer’s personal data and obviously, that there are risks of unauthorized surveillance.
