Rayo Vallecano left-back Fran Garcia could rejoin [Real Madrid](https://technosports.co.in/2023/01/27/real-madrid-3-1-atletico-madrid-cdr/) in the coming days. He was once part of their academy, but left the club in 2020 in search of first team opportunities.

At the time, the Spanish giants had agreed a sell-on clause worth 50%. And as a result, they will be able to sign him for a fee as low as €5 million. The player is keen on a return to Santiago Bernabeu in the coming days, and it could happen if the two parties can reach an agreement soon.

## Fran Garcia nearing Real Madrid return soon

> Real Madrid are planning to activate the buy option clause for Fran García with fullback to re-join Real next summer, as [@diarioas](https://twitter.com/diarioas?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) reported today — not done but advanced. 🚨⚪️ [#RealMadrid](https://twitter.com/hashtag/RealMadrid?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)

At the time, his academy club wanted to sign him and loan him back to Rayo. But, it was not possible due to the restrictions in place in Spain. As a result, a verbal agreement could be in place between the two parties very soon for a move in the summer.

Bayer Leverkusen and Inter Milan have registered their interest in the player as well. But, he is prioritising a return to the Bernabeu above all else.

Last season, [Fran Garcia told AS](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1616716478249590787?s=20&t=PotYpxZm_6l3WcK1ei4N2g): “My dream would be to return, I wish I could have that opportunity. But right now I have to focus on my current team. I will give everything on the field as I’ve done before.”

Ferland Mendy has been linked with an exit from the club for a while. And now, it seems like Garcia could be the man to replace him at left-back from next season.
