Apple’s largest contractual iPhone maker Foxconn seems to be in a rush to hire 200,000 more workers by the end of September as per South China Morning Post.

This time Apple expects to sell more iPhone 13 units than ever because it will feature the highly anticipated high refresh rate OLED displays. So, this needs more iPhone production and that’s why 200,000 additional workers are needed at the world’s biggest iPhone factory in the Chinese city of Zhengzhou.

Apple is expected to make the announcement of the entire iPhone 13 lineup sometime next month. So, getting more workers ahead of the expected launch makes sense for Foxconn, however, getting enough manpower has been the “biggest bottleneck” to production at the manufacturing facility according to the site’s deputy general manager, Wang Xue, who was quoted by a local broadcaster.

As MacRumors report, it was difficult for Foxconn to hire more workers for ‌iPhone 13‌ production earlier, so the company has to rush to get workers to cope with the bulk iPhone 13 orders.

Not only this but the staffing goal has also reportedly being supported by local governments that have provided 100 busses to “pick up job applicants from their communities and drop them at the factory gates.” So, Foxconn remains optimistic that it will be able to hire 200,000 new hires by the end of September “at the current speed of recruitment.”

This Zhengzhou factory can accommodate as many as 350,000 assembly line workers and scale up the manufacturing of up to 500,000 new iPhones every day. So, this could help Foxconn cope up with the insane demand Apple has this time, currently, everyone is eager for the launch which is scheduled next month.
