The battery capacities for the Ford all-electric 2022 F-150 Lightning pickup truck have been confirmed. The vehicle will be available with either a 98-kWh standard-range battery with an EPA-estimated range of 230 miles (370 km) or a 131 kWh extended-range battery with a range of around 300 miles (483 km). These figures are based on a payload of 1,000 pounds (454 kilograms).

On the lower three models, the Pro, XLT, and Lariat, the standard-range battery capacity is the default. The long-range battery is optional on the XLT and Lariat trim levels, but standard on the Platinum trim.

The infotainment system is another option for the F-150 Lightning. Ford’s 9.6 kW Pro Power System with a 15.5-hp engine is used in the higher-end Lariat and Platinum variants “SYNC 4A operating system and touchscreen This is an add-on for the Pro and XLT grades, which come with a 12-month warranty “Touchscreen and SYNC 4 are included as standard features.

Both systems allow for over-the-air software updates to be downloaded via the vehicle’s built-in modem or Wi-Fi. Adaptive dash cards are one of the major additions of SYNC 4A, and there are few visible changes between both operating systems. The power-folding mirrors, which will be available solely for the Lariat and Platinum grades, are another variation between trims that was just unveiled.

The Standard Range Lightning Pro is expected to cost around US$39,974 (€35,383), with top-end trims costing up to US$90,000 (€79,664), according to Ford. Customers can start placing orders for the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning in January of the following year.
