After years of waiting, the *Force* franchise is officially back in action. On March 6, 2026, Harshvardhan Rane shared a video performing a puja to mark the beginning of *Force 3*‘s first shooting schedule — and the internet could not be more excited. Nearly a decade after *Force 2* hit screens, ACP Yashvardhan Singh’s world is about to expand in a big way.

## The Puja That Started It All

There’s something undeniably exciting about a film’s muhurat — that moment of prayer before the cameras roll. Harshvardhan Rane posted a video of the traditional puja ceremony that kicked off *Force 3*‘s first schedule in Gujarat, with co-star Tanya Maniktala standing beside him with folded hands. Simple, grounded, and full of intention.

Rane had earlier shared a spiritual post from a Maharashtra temple, expressing genuine gratitude for landing the role. He credited John Abraham — calling him an “angel of a man” — and admitted he couldn’t wait to begin shooting. That kind of heartfelt energy before a film begins? It’s a good sign.

## A Franchise Worth the Wait

The [Force film series](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Force_(film_series)) holds a special place in Bollywood’s action landscape. The original *Force* (2011), directed by Nishikant Kamat, introduced John Abraham as a ruthless yet principled ACP and was praised for its raw physicality and tight thriller structure. *Force 2* (2016) raised the stakes internationally, with John and Sonakshi Sinha taking the action abroad.

Now, *Force 3* brings a fresh creative team — Bhav Dhulia, known for *The Freelancer*, steps into the director’s chair — along with new energy from Harshvardhan Rane (*Ek Deewane ki Deewaniyat*) and Tanya Maniktala (*Kill*, *A Suitable Boy*). The casting signals the makers are thinking beyond the formula.
