Florian Wirtz is emerging as the next big talent in the Bundesliga, after some remarkable performances in the league. The youngster is already one of the top-rated players in the league, and is starting to attract interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world too.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are watching the midfielder as he develops his game at Bayer Leverkusen. And an eventual transfer to a European elite looks likely.

Florian Wirtz to stay at Leverkusen for 2022

Despite a number of top clubs keeping a watch on the player, there is currently nothing advanced between them and Bayer. The Bundesliga club are confident about keeping Florian Wirtz at the club for the 2022/23 season.

There's lot of interest around Florian Wirtz – it's normal as he's one of the best talents in the world. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern are watching him closely for the future – nothing advanced. ⭐️🇩🇪 #Wirtz

This season, Wirtz has provided 10 assists and scored seven goals in 22 Bundesliga games. Considering that he is only 18 years old, it is a remarkable return. His performances are one of the main reasons behind Bayer Leverkusen’s third place in the Bundesliga this season.

The Bayer Leverkusen academy graduate has four years left on his current contract, after signing a new deal last year. He has made four appearances for the German national team, and will surely be a top player for the upcoming years.

As a result, there is no rush surrounding his transfer situation just yet. But a move for 2023 might be on the cards with Real Madrid planning to recruit a talented attacking midfielder in the future.
