Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is set to contest the 2025 club presidential elections, according to reports from Spain. The 77-year-old was rumoured to be reluctant to serve another term due to physical ailments and old age.
However, he has now brushed off the rumours and is likely to partake in the elections next year for a chance at another four years leading the club. Perez is the club’s most successful president, which is evident by the club earning their 15th Champions League under his leadership.

Perez has several important goals in mind should he win the elections once again. Primarily, he wants to increase the revenue received by the club through the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, as well as the completion of its renovation.
He also wants to bring the FIFA World Cup final to the Santiago Bernabeu, which is possible given the improved capacity and facilities after the stadium’s renovation.
An expansion of the club’s training campus is also on the cards for the veteran.
More interestingly, Florentino Perez is still keen on going through with his plans for the European Super League. Real Madrid have received little support from others apart from Barcelona and Juventus for the breakaway tournament, but Perez remains confident that it will eventually materialise.
