The Tata Curvv is set to be launched on the 7th of August, and now we finally get an official unveiling from both sides in ICE form as well as EV form. The front fascias of these coupe SUVs are customized to give the design some sense. New real-life images of the Tata Curvv have emerged online, revealing its sharp and sporty appearance.
The Upcoming Tata Curvv
Tata Curvv Concept leads the new coupe-SUV era of compact SUVs in India with Citroen Basalt following suit. It marks the first time that coupe SUVs have been offered at a price average to the masses, and their acceptance there will dictate what comes next from this niche category.
Crucially, the first real-life images of the Curvv have emerged online and depict a version finished in Daytona Gray. The ICE version of the car is highlighted here, with only minor changes expected for its electric version. This suggests the Curvv ICE could receive styling elements that are present in other Tata models like the Nexon and Harrier such as a stepped front fascia with split headlight design, LED DRLs (also serving as turn indicators), and LED projectors.
The DRLs are connected by a central light bar. The grille design is notable, with silver accents, front parking sensors, black body cladding, stylish alloy wheels (speculated to be 18 inches), connected LED tail lights, and flush door handles (a first in this segment). The key feature of the Curvv is a sloping coupe roofline that adds an extra dose of design flair relative to its compact SUV rivals.
Tata Motors has not officially revealed any interior features of the Curvv, however, we can make some well-educated guesses on what might be to come. Earlier reports suggest it will be offered with similar features as the Tata Nexon EV, including a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Arcade plus iRA connected car technology with EV app suite, and a 9-speaker JBL audio system.
Some other expected features are a 10.25-inch instrument display with full-screen navigation, ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable front seats, an electronic parking brake, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents, keyless entry and push-button start, a cooled glovebox, LED ambient and mood lighting, an ADAS suite, a 360-degree camera, and excellent crash safety ratings.
Tata has confirmed that the Curvv will be following their multi-fuel policy, with the petrol and diesel versions of the automobile. The ICE powertrains will be shared with the Nexon. Still, the Curvv EV is likely to have a much larger battery than the Nexon EV LR, around 50 kWh, and a more potent electric motor.
