On 3rd April, Saturday, the awards for the 66th Annual Filmfare Awards were announced. It was a big event which is hosted by versatile actor Rajkumar Rao and Riteish Deshmukh. The entertainment industry was faced a lot of difficulties due to the terrible COVID-19 pandemic situations.
The Filmfare had been decided to commemorate the best of Indian Bollywood cinema. In this award show Anubhav Sinha’s “Thappad” had made a record of winning seven awards, the film “Gulabo Sitabo” won six awards both of this film was possessed a big position to win most awards on that evening.
The Award Ceremony which was held at Gurgaon Film City in Mumbai included brilliant and late actor Irrfan Khan won the Best Actor award in the male category, for his stunning performance in “Angrezi Medium” and also is the lifetime achievement award. When the name of the late actor was announced for the best actor then a sense of sadness and eyes was filled with the tears of all the people. Most capable actor Amitabh Bachchan (Critics) has won the Best Actor Award.
The Filmfare Award for the Best Debut actress was gone to Alaya F for her much appreciated performance in “Jawaani Jaaneman”. Gorgeous Taapsee Pannu and Tilottoma Shome were awarded for Best Actress (Popular) and also Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Critics) for their brilliant performance in “Thappad” and “Sir”.
The Award for the Best Actor for the supporting role gone to Saif Ali Khan who is the big winner on that night for his most appreciated performance in “Tanhaji”. The Best Director Filmfare Award was bagged by OM Raut.
In this Award show, we have also seen many incredible and stunning performances included with the queen of belly dancing Nora Fatehi and Greek God of Bollywood Hrithik Roshan.
