The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 seems up in the air, given the lack of clarity surrounding the event even a year ago. The tournament is yet to have a broadcast deal, or have the venues announced for the matches.
The competition is expected to be held in an expanded format next summer, with 32 teams to play from across the world. However, FIFA President Gianni Infantino is reportedly getting involved himself in an attempt to get things back on track.

The dates announced for the competition are between June 15 to July 13, 2025. The USA has been announced as the host nation, but no fixtures or host stadiums have been announced for the competition yet.
Players and managers have been vocal about their issues with the proposed tournament. They believe that it will add to an already packed fixture schedule, which would put players at an increased risk of injuries.
The final stages of the tournament will clash with the Women’s European Championships and Wimbledon, which might be why broadcasters are reluctant to pick it up. Moreover, players speaking out over the reformed Club World Cup could also downplay its importance.
It remains to be seen whether FIFA manages to organise things in time for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 to go through.
