EA Sports has done a very interesting thing in this FIFA 23. They have introduced various versions of Icons in the game. Previously, there were only 4 types – Baby, Mid, Prime and Prime Moments. However, in FIFA 23, Icons have been a part of the ongoing promos. During TOTY, FUT Birthday and now in Trophy Titans, Icons have been released as part of the promo which has added a new dimension to the game.
They have now introduced a new SBC – 90+ Prime, TOTY or FUT Birthday Icon Upgrade. It requires 3 squads. As the name suggests you can get a Prime, TOTY or FUT Birthday Icon which is a minimum of 90 overall.

Team 2: 86-rated squad

Team 3: 88-rated squad
- Squad Rating: Min 88
- No of players in the Squad: 11

Is it worth doing the 90+ Prime, TOTY or FUT Birthday Icon Upgrade SBC?
One of the main dilemmas regarding the Icon Upgrade SBCs is whether you will get a good icon as this is not a player pick that you can choose from. If you manage to pack the Prime, TOTY or FUT Birthday version of Pele, Maradona, Ronaldo, Zidane, Cantona, Ronaldinho, Gullit, Cruyff, Daglish, etc it can be great for your FUT team. But in other cases, the value of your packed icon can also be less than the cost of the SBC.
My pack luck was average, as I managed to pack the 91-rated LB Ashley Cole TOTY Icon version. The price of the card is around 400,000 FUT coins which is less than the cost of the SBC. Although the card is decent enough to play at LB, I already had other LB options in my team which made the card not so good for my squad.
Let us know in the comments below what did you get from the 90+ Prime, TOTY or FUT Birthday Icon Upgrade SBC.
