FIFA 22 has officially released on 1st October. EA Sports has brought Hypermotion technology to FIFA 22 to give it a fluid feel. There have been mixed reviews about the new game so far. The gameplay has been good till now as it has become more difficult to score goals and the defensive part of the game has also improved quite a lot.
Icons are one of the best cards available in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team throughout the year. They are always on 10 chem if you put them in their right positions and also gives a link to every card. They are usually very good in game and are always in high demand.
EA Sports introduced the Base Icon Upgrade SBC to give the players a chance to get their hands on the lowest versions of the Icon cards. The SBC requires 4 squads.

Is the Base Icon Upgrade SBC worth doing?
The main dilemma regarding this pack is whether you will get a good icon as this is not a player pick that you can choose from. The chances of getting an Icon worth more than the SBC is not that great. But if you manage to pack the base version of Pele, Maradona, Ronaldo, Zidane, Cantona, Ronaldinho, etc it can be great for your FUT team.
I have packed 86 rated ST Shevchenko. Although his rating isn’t that great, he is valued at around 500,000 in the transfer market. So my pack luck hasn’t been that bad.
Let’s take a look at the stats in more detail:
The base version of Shevchenko has a high attacking and defending work rate which is great considering he is an ST. However, his skill move is only 3* but he has got a 4* weak foot.
The pace and shooting of this card are incredible. It has 88 pace and 90 shooting attributes. The only downside is passing, which is very low, although the dribbling and physical stats are decent.
The 86 rated Shevchenko gives all my players decent connection and is also quite good upfront. Considering the price of this card, the Base Icon Upgrade pack hasn’t gone too bad for me.
