Feyenoord registered their biggest ever win over Ajax, thrashing their rivals 6-0 to strengthen their claim on a Champions League spot next season. An incredible performance from teenager Yankuba Minteh helped the home team demolish their age old rivals, who haven’t been at their best for some time.
Minteh scored a brace and provided the assist for Igor Paixao’s first goal, completing a man of the match performance. Paixao went on to score a brace himself, with Quinten Timber and David Hancko also getting on the scoresheet.

The defending Eredivisie champions are quite a way off the top, with PSV nine points ahead of Feyenoord, who are second. Similarly, Twente are third and nine points behind, with both teams competing for the automatic Champions League qualification spots.
Ajax, however, are sixth in the table. While it is an improvement on their fortunes from earlier in the season, it is still disappointing considering the standards they have set for themselves. Their performance against Feyenoord was severely lackluster.
And their opponents punished them time and time again for their lack of quality on the day.
