Federico Bernardeschi will be leaving Juventus at the end of the season, alongside Paulo Dybala and Giorgio Chiellini. The player’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he will not be renewing his deal beyond the summer.
As a result, he will be a part of the trio that leaves Juventus for free at the end of the ongoing campaign. As of now, Lazio is interested in signing the former Fiorentina man, but have not yet reached advanced stages in their pursuit.
Federico Bernardeschi to leave Juventus
The Italy international arrived at Juventus from Fiorentina in 2017 for a sizable €40 million price tag. But, he has failed to live up to the expectations placed on him, owing to injuries and drops in form over the span of the last five years.
He had a good run in the team following Euro 2020, but that form didn’t last too long either. As of right now, he has been putting in decent performances on the pitch, but not enough to become an indispensable part of the Juventus squad.
After lengthy negotiations between the board and Federico Bernardeschi, it was decided that he would not be a part of the project and it was best for them to move on. He has made 182 appearances for the Bianconeri, scoring only 12 goals.
