The entire cast, including Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez, graced the red carpet at the Fast X movie premiere in Rome, Italy. As reporters approached them for interviews, Vin Diesel made some intriguing statements that left the future of the franchise uncertain and open to interpretation.
Diesel claims that “Going into making this movie, the studio had asked if this could be a two-parter, and after the studio saw this part one, they said ‘Could you make Fast X the finale a trilogy?'”
After Vin Diesel raised the topic, Michelle Rodriguez added to the intrigue by suggesting that “It’s three acts in any story.” The reporter was eager to ask more questions, but before they could, both stars quickly exited the scene and continued on their way, leaving fans to speculate about what the three acts could entail for the Fast and Furious franchise.
Although Universal, the franchise’s parent company, has yet to respond to the speculation, it’s worth noting that Vin Diesel is getting older and the movie’s title includes a final number. As a result, it remains to be seen whether Dominic Toretto will be embarking on another secret mission or driving off into the sunset in his iconic muscle car.
