Lakshya
Farhan Akhtar‘s Lakshya is a unique Indian Army movie that stars Hrithik Roshan, Priety Zinta, and many more. Even while the film did not achieve the enormous box office success that was predicted, it has received a lot of appreciation since its premiere.
The critically praised film Lakshya was released twenty years ago, and now Farhan Akhtar is returning to the Indian Army genre with another drama centred around the army. The two talked candidly about their upcoming Indian Army movie, the announcement of which is almost imminent.
When Farhan Akhtar was questioned by Pinkvilla Masterclass regarding his future plans to direct another film with an Indian Army theme. Regarding this, he stated, “We are in the process of putting one such film together. I would imagine that within a very short period of time, I would say at the most a couple of weeks, we will probably make some kind of announcement regarding that film. But it is feeling really good to kind of go back and revisit mentally and emotionally, that same phase. So, I am looking forward to it.”
Ritesh Sidhwani On The Team Of Lakshya
While recalling past events, Ritesh Sidhwani mentioned how the team Lakshya received customised medals from the then-Indian Army General since they believed Lakshya to be the best representation of the Indian Army. He remarked, “General Vij was the army chief I remember from that era; he gave us the go-ahead to film the movie and handled everything.”
He gave Hrithik, Farhan, and me these individual awards that they had won after the movie was over, and I still have them in my room. That in and of itself indicates that we accomplished anything. He personally informed us that no movie has ever been made that is flawless and accurately portrays the army.
Lakshya Is Still Seeking Love
The affection and praise that Lakshya continues to receive is proof positive that it is a movie that has withstood the test of time. There’s a lot of enthusiasm about the fact that the directors of Lakshya are considering making a film about the Indian Army, even though it will be difficult to top the success of Lakshya again.
