Nvidia’s latest GeForce RTX 30 series is set to make its debut during the CES 2021 event and we are more than excited to see what the company brings to the performance table. As we already that the company has been recently plagued by a lack of supply for its graphics cards. As for when the supply constraint problem will be solved we still have no idea.

The latest news about the company is a strange one indeed, as we are hearing the scoop that 500,000 GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards had gone missing during transit. And guess what, they have now been found in an unlabeled shipping container in South Korea.

The news turned out to be a fake one and we are not smiling. It all started with an employee at Samsungs subsidiary port, and the frustration he had from not being able to buy the Nvidia graphics cards. The employee noticed that stacks of boxes with Nvidia’s logo stamped on them were not listed on any of the port’s records.

What made the news convincing is the fact that it had pictures of boxes in a shipping container.

There is even a supposed quote from Nvidia on the matter, explaining the situation to shareholders. The only problem is, none of it happened. Later on, the article’s author updated the article saying that “This is a fake news story created and published on December 28 in celebration of the Holy Innocents Day in Spain. The content of it is false and has been created with a satirical humorous purpose. We hope you had fun reading it.”

The news has added to our frustration, even more, half a million modules of the card going missing are hard to believe. But them being found would have certainly solved most of the supply constraint problem which Nvidia is facing. But, destiny has its plans.
