Edinson Cavani was recently rumoured to be unsettled at Manchester United, with the player’s father releasing the information that South American club Boca Juniors are willing to sign the player to bring him back to the continent. And speaking on the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the rumours it’s true.
While the Italian journalist did not comment on Cavani’s mentality at United, he did agree that Boca do want Cavani. The Argentinian club are reportedly willing to offer the striker an initial 2-year deal with an option of extending it for another, but nothing advanced has been agreed on yet.
People around him, though, have said he is open to staying at Manchester United beyond this season. We still have a fair share of the campaign to see through, and the player’s gents will decide his future at the end of it. All that said, Boca are ready to pursue the player but there is nothing yet.
The Uruguayan hasn’t said anything about leaving Manchester United either, and the situation is understood to be very open-ended at the moment. In all likelihood, if a move has to go through, it will be an end of the season deal.
