Liverpool have agreed a deal with Brentford for the sale of Fabio Carvalho for £20 million plus add-ons. The midfielder is set to undergo medical tests to complete the transfer soon, ending his spell with the Merseyside club.
Carvalho has spent two years on Liverpool’s books, since joining them from Fulham in 2022. After one season with the Reds, he moved out to spend half a season on loan at RB Leipzig before joining Hull City for the remainder of 23-24.

The 21-year-old scored nine goals and provided two assists in 20 games in the Championship this past season. He had limited playing time with Leipzig, which prompted the Reds to call him back and send him to Hull.
For Liverpool, he played 21 games in the 22/23 season, scoring three goals across all competitions while showing flashes of his quality. However, the competition for places in the team caused him to be moved down the pecking order.
And now, he is set to restart his career with Brentford, who could really benefit from a player with his quality. It remains to be seen how Thomas Frank integrates the Portugal U21 international into his team for the new season.
Has Liverpool made any signings this summer?
