Fabio Carvalho confirmed to join Liverpool on 5-year contract

Liverpool have agreed the transfer of talented young midfielder Fabio Carvalho in the summer with Fulham. The transfer has been given the here we go signal by Fabrizio Romano, which means that the deal is as good as done.

There are no plans to announce his signing right now, and both clubs will wait until the season is close to ending before the official announcement is made. The Premier League side were very close to signing Carvalho in the January window, and had everything ready. But, the transfer failed due to the deadline.

As the two clubs agreed in January, the transfer will be worth €5 million upfront, and will include €2.7 million in add-ons. Fulham will also have a sell-on clause in the player’s contract, which would see them entitled to 20% of any future sale. 

Fabio Carvalho has agreed personal terms with Liverpool ahead of the transfer as well. He will be signing a five-year contract with them. The player will also be incorporated into the first team, and not loaned out to another club. 

The player has completed his medical for the move, with permission from Fulham. And now, it is only a matter of time before the transfer is made official. Carvalho will play out the current season with the Cottagers before moving to Anfield when the ongoing campaign is over.
