Another ASUS gaming laptop has been spotted on Geekbench recently and being the first to spot it, we have seen a multiple of them and shown the best result. So, this confirms that the Taiwanese OEM is testing the upcoming gaming laptop with benchmarks ahead of CES 2021 launch.
We have spotted the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H quite a few times on different gaming laptops and it seems Asus will be using the Zen 3 based APU on its upcoming budget gaming laptops as well. The latest Geekbench score of this Asus TUF Gaming A15 is almost identical to what we got a month ago.
The specs of the Ryzen 7 5800H seems to be confirmed as it will be based out of Zen 3 architecture, feature 8 cores and 16 threads, come with 3.2 GHz base clock speed and boost clocks of 4.44 GHz along with 16.0 MB L3 cache.
The ASUS TUF Gaming A15 laptop with Ryzen 7 5800H and 16 GB DRR4 RAM posts a single-core score of 1469 points and 7627 points in multi-core benchmarks. Compared to the Zen2-based Ryzen 7 4800H, the new APU is almost 35% faster in single-core tests and 15% faster in multi-core tests.
The performance of the Ryzen 7 5800H is no joke and is a clear indication for Intel as it will go head-to-head with Intel’s Rocket Lake notebook processors. In a few days, AMD will be launching this new Ryzen 5000H processors and ASUS will also announce these new gaming laptops as well.
