The Coronavirus pandemic may have overshadowed the past couple of years, but that hasn’t stopped Apple from overhauling the majority of its product line, including more than halfway through the transition from Intel to its own processors, with the M1, M1 Pro, and M1 Max making a strong first impression.
Apple has unveiled new AirPods, a HomePod small in a variety of colours, a new iPhone lineup, enhanced iPads, and an Apple Watch update. In 2022, though, there will be even more.
The Coronavirus pandemic may have dominated the past several years, but it hasn’t stopped Apple from redesigning the majority of its product line, including transferring the Mac from Intel to its own CPUs, with the M1, M1 Pro, and M1 Max making a strong first impression.
Apple has unveiled new AirPods, a HomePod small in a variety of colours, a new iPhone lineup, enhanced iPads, and an Apple Watch update. In 2022, though, there will be even more.
We have examined what Apple is likely to release in 2022. To bring you our predictions, we’ve looked into every rumour and trend we could discover. Continue reading to learn what’s in store.
Macs:
In June 2020, Apple said that within two years, it would switch all of its Macs from Intel processors to its own silicon. Many of Apple’s computers, such as the MacBook Air, Mac mini, 24in iMac, 13in MacBook Pro, 14in MacBook Pro, and 16in MacBook Pro models, have previously been updated.
The following Macs will require an M-series update, and there are rumours that a second generation of the already released M1 Macs may be in the works.
So we can definitely see a upgraded version of Apple Mac.
Apple Mac mini Pro:
Many people were startled to find the ‘Mac mini Pro’ missing from Apple’s announcement of the new MacBook Pro with M1 Pro and M1 Max processors last week. Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman speculated earlier this year that a redesigned Mac mini will be introduced at one of Apple’s fall events in 2021, but that didn’t materialise. Surprisingly, the next Mac mini will be completely redesigned rather than receiving a new chip.
The so-called ‘Mac mini Pro,’ according to rumours, will include a plexiglass top and a magnetic power cord, as well as four Thunderbolt connectors, two USB-A connections, an ethernet port, and an HDMI port.
The M1 Pro processor, which also powers the new MacBook Pro, will be the new Mac mini’s strongest selling point. Apple will be able to justify the Mac mini’s ‘pro’ designation by including the M1 Pro. The Intel-based Mac mini will be replaced by the new Mac mini with M1 Pro.
iPhone SE 3 :
The $399 iPhone SE 2 was a surprising hit, as it was released just before the global epidemic began. Despite its lack of current appearance, the iPhone SE was successful because it provided enough reasons for regular consumers to upgrade during the pandemic.
The next iPhone SE is expected to arrive in the first half of next year, with a classic design that has 5G capability and the latest A15 processor. Simply told, the next iPhone SE will be based on the design language of the iPhone 8, but with upgraded internals.
MacBook Air 2022:
In late 2020, Apple announced a new MacBook Air with the M1 processor, although the notebook’s successor could be delivered in the middle of next year. Although the MacBook Air is the most popular Mac on the market, its design hasn’t altered much in recent years
According to rumours, the upcoming MacBook Air will be thin and light, with a flat-edge design, white bezels surrounding the display, and a revamped keyboard. In fact, like the M1 iMac, it might be released in a rainbow of colours. The M2 processor, a 1080p webcam, a mini-LED display, and MagSafe are all notable features. The new MacBook Air is expected to be more expensive than the current MacBook Air.
iPad Pro 2022:
Apple is undoubtedly working on the next-generation iPad Pro, which is expected to be released in 2022. With the M1 chip inside, the existing iPad Pro, particularly the 12.9-inch variant, is fairly powerful and boasts an upgraded screen employing Mini-LED technology.
What will Apple do next with the iPad Pro is the question. Apple is likely to alter the iPad Pro’s design language, add wireless charging features, and extend the mini-LED screen technology to the 11-inch device. The next-generation iPad Pro could be accompanied by a new Apple Pencil.
AirPods Pro 2 :
The AirPods Pro has been out for almost two years and are due for an update. The second-generation AirPods Pro will most likely be released next year and will not be stemless, but may incorporate a skin-detect sensor like the AirPods 3.
Although not verified, speaker holes will be present at the bottom of the AirPods 2 case, as Apple is rumoured to be introducing a new function called “Find My for the case and buds individually.” They might also have stronger audio and noise-cancelling capabilities.
iPhone 14 :
Indeed Next year, Apple will release a new iPhone flagship. The new iPhone 14 is rumoured to have a hole-punch front-facing camera, no camera hump, and a titanium frame, and is expected to be released in the fall of 2022. TouchID under-display is also a possibility.
The iPhone 13 is being touted as the final tiny iPhone. Apple is rumoured to be abandoning the mini-sized iPhone in favour of a second regular-sized iPhone with a larger screen. Next year, an A16 with improved performance and a 2TB storage option will be released.
Virtual reality headset :
Although Apple Car is still years away, Cupertino could debut its AR/VR headgear in 2022. For years, Apple has been developing a virtual reality headgear that will be marketed as a “high-end, niche product,” according to reports. Since the launching of the Apple Watch in 2015, the headgear would be the company’s first new hardware.
According to a January report from Bloomberg, the device could include both virtual and augmented reality capabilities. The “N301” headset could contain an 8K display, eye-tracking technology, and several cameras to track and record your hand movements. Virtual reality is a technology that Sony, HTC, and Facebook have been exploring for a long time.
Three new Watch models :
In addition to Watch 8, reports predict that two more watches will be released in 2022. The mid-range Apple Watch SE 2 is likely to be one of them, while the second might be even more affordable.
The Series 8 could include a blood pressure monitoring sensor, a blood glucose sensor, a body temperature sensor, and improved sleep-tracking technology, keeping the smartwatch’s focus on health. The design will most likely be similar to the current Apple Watch Series 7.
Foldable iPhones :
In the next two years, Apple plans to release foldable iPhones, which will feature two screens joined by a hinge. Despite the hinge, the iPhone appears to be in perfect condition and does not appear to have two screens.
Two of these models allegedly passed durability tests earlier at the Foxconn factory in Shenzhen, China, according to a Taiwanese website called Economic Daily News.
The MacBook Air (2022), iPhone SE Plus, AirPods Pro 2, iPhone 14, and Mac mini (2022) rumour mill suggests that all aspects of Apple’s products will be upgraded. We’re all looking forward to Apple’s upcoming presentation, which will showcase more powerful processors and upgrades to existing functions.
