Everton are reportedly looking to part ways with their Brazilian winger, Bernard, who is reportedly being pursued by Serie A club Roma.
Speaking on a potential transfer on the Here We Go podcast on Patreon, Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio said that the Serie A club were planning a €10 million swoop for the winger, with Carlo Ancelotti almost set to sanction the transfer to the Italian capital.
The Toffees are hence, looking towards West Ham United midfielder Felipe Anderson, currently on loan at Porto, as a possible replacement for the outgoing player.
The 28-year-old previously featured for Shakhtar Donetsk and joined the Merseyside Blues in 2018 as a free agent. However, the rise of fellow Brazilian winger Richarlison, who also plays on the left-wing has made game time scarce for Bernard.
Bernard still has a year and a half left on his current contract with Everton, and manager Carlo Ancelotti has stated that he is more than welcome to the idea of having the player stay if he is willing to fight for his place. However, the links with a move to Serie A are only getting stronger.
Felipe Anderson, on the other hand, has been struggling recently, despite being loaned out to Porto. Everton have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Anderson on a loan deal, but whether or not they will take the option is something that will most likely depend on the fate of Bernard at the club.
