Everton to sign 2 new midfielders as deadline day deals

Everton are set to complete two transfers in the coming hours, with Idrissa Gana-Gueye and James Garner both set to be announced. Both transfers have been given the here we go signal by Fabrizio Romano, which means it is only a matter of time before they are both revealed.

The Toffees had agreed terms with Paris Saint-Germain for the return of Idrissa Gana-Gueye long ago. However, they had hit a stumbling block and were unable to get the deal over the line earlier. Now, they have exchanged all the required documents for the move to go through.

Everton to sign two new midfielders very soon

Idrissa Gana-Gueye left for PSG in 2019, but remained in touch with the board in England. As a result, a return for him has materialised since he is considered surplus to requirements at PSG.

Alongside the Senegalese, Manchester United youngster James Garner will also be making the move to Goodison Park. The two clubs have reached an agreement over a £15 million transfer fee. And United have also included a buyback clause in his contract.

The player has agreed to the move, and has finalised a contract of five years until 2027. It will soon be signed, and he will also become a new Everton player for the coming season.
