Everton has improved leaps and bounds this season under Carlo Ancelotti. He bought James Rodriguez from Real Madrid, with whom he has worked on two different occasions, once at Real Madrid and the other time at Bayern Munich.

Ancelotti has been an admirer of the Columbian. He has also brought in his former player Allan from Napoli to build a formidable midfield. James is already looking like the buy of the season.

On the attacking front, Everton has the likes of Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin to threaten the opposition.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin said about Everton’s current red hot form: “There’s been a mentality shift and a momentum shift around the place and that has been a big catalyst [for our form], as well bringing in the new players and the quality they’ve got,”

“What they’ve added to the team has been crucial. We have gelled really well and the system we play suits us.”

“In the second half [against Brighton] we didn’t play that well, to be honest. But we scored goals in the second half and the best teams win when they are not always on top. We dug in and limited their chances.”

“We started the game well, though. On the whole, I think it was a solid performance again. We are feeling confident, creating chances and scoring goals.”

The 23-year-old England international has already scored 9 goals in 6 appearances for Everton this season. The club now sits on top of the Premier League table having won all their opening four matches.
