The Euro 2024 Group C has finally played out to a conclusion, with a couple of surprising results on the final day. Both sets of fixtures ended 0-0, meaning England retained their place at the top of the table and won their group.
Denmark finished second and have also earned their place in the last 16 of the Euros this year. Slovenia have a good chance at making it to the last 16 too, as they have three points and are currently third among the best third placed teams.

In spite of having Aleksandar Mitrovic, Dusan Vlahovic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Nikola Milenkovic, Serbia weren’t able to make a mark on this year’s tournament. With two draws and a defeat, they have bowed out in last place.
Denmark have earned themselves a last 16 game against hosts Germany, who are in tremendous form after their unbeaten group stage performance. On the other hand, England will face the third placed team from groups D, E or F.
England’s lack of creativity and the jeers against manager Gareth Southgate could prove to be a deterrent in their coming game. However, a new face in midfield like Adam Wharton could prove to be exactly what is needed after Kobbie Mainoo and Conor Gallagher both failed to have the expected impact as the replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
