Erling Haaland could make a surprising transfer to PSG, according to La Razon. The higher ups at the French club are not very happy with the way things are turning out at the club.
They are particularly frustrated by Neymar’s injury record, and are also not keen on renewing Lionel Messi’s contract. As a result, they could let both players go in the summer. And this would lead to them signing a designated number 9 since Mbappe is not content with operating through the middle.
Erling Haaland linked with ambitious PSG transfer
There are also reports emerging of there being a €200 million exit clause in Haaland’s contract, which PSG would want to trigger. But, the validity of this claim is not yet confirmed.
According to Daniel Riolo on Radio Monte Carlo (RMC):
“It seems that Haaland is not very happy in Manchester,” Riolo said.
“He is not well and the game does not favour him either. Now you have to know if the people at Manchester City would be willing to sell a player to a club that has Qatari owners, because that’s where the political issue would come in.”
Erling Haaland is en route to breaking Alan Shearer and Andy Cole’s record for the most goals scored in a Premier League season. He currently has 28 goals, but there are frustrations considering the style of play that Pep Guardiola is implementing at the club.
For this reason, the Norwegian is being linked with a move that would see him unite with one of the best in the world in Mbappe. The Frenchman’s future remains uncertain as well, with Real Madrid once again emerging as contenders to try and sign him.
