Manchester United have reportedly decided to sack Erik Ten Hag irrespective of the result of the FA Cup final against rivals Manchester City. The Red Devils have endured their worst ever finish in the Premier League, coming 8th in the table.
As a result, their only way to secure Europa League football next season is to win against Manchester City in the FA Cup Final. But considering the form the Sky Blues have been in, it seems like an insurmountable task.

The news to sack Ten Hag has been leaked against the wishes of INEOS, who wanted to keep it under wraps until after the match. Recent news suggesting Manchester United are in the race to recruit Kieran McKenna has reportedly accelerated the decision to remove Erik Ten Hag.
Injuries have played a major part in derailing the Dutchman’s season, but the style of play has not been encouraging for fans either. In spite of that, there have been some matches where the team has played well and has shown that the foundations are being built.
The decision to replace Ten Hag at this stage might not go down well with fans, and certainly takes away from the FA Cup final to be played within 24 hours of time.
