December was particularly strong for Epic, recording 74 million Monthly Active Users, likely driven by the holiday sale and the free games event.

While the Steam platform remains the most popular among PC gamers for purchases, spending on the Epic Games Store hit $1.09 billion — with $255 million spent on third-party PC games.

Looking ahead, Epic has major plans for 2025, with a strong focus on expanding its Mobile App. The updated app will improve the user experience with an enhanced App Library and Discovery features. For developers, Epic will introduce AAB file type support and extend mobile self-publishing tools beyond its invite-only beta. Some of the biggest PC games coming to the store this year include Splitgate 2, 33 Immortals, Killing Floor 3, Borderlands 4, and Cronos: The New Dawn.
