## What’s the Story?

Netflix’s official logline reads: “Adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before.”

The trailer makes it even juicier. Enola accepts a surprise marriage proposal from Lord Tewkesbury — only for her romantic bliss to be violently cut short when she discovers Sherlock has been kidnapped. Cue: bridal wear, a carriage chase, explosions, and a very irritated Eudoria Holmes assigning Enola the task of rescuing her “favorite child.”

This is the kind of setup that makes you hit play at midnight.

The franchise is based on [Nancy Springer’s Enola Holmes book series](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Enola_Holmes_Mysteries) — a beloved young adult mystery collection that reimagines Sherlock’s teenage sister as the real detective genius of the family.
