Enjoy Overwatch with up to 50% less system latency, thanks to NVIDIA Reflex

NVIDIA is on a spree to add games to its library of NVIDIA Reflex supported games and Overwatch is another eSports game to officially support the tech.

Now Overwatch players with GeForce GPUs can benefit from NVIDIA Reflex with the technology’s addition to the game today. NVIDIA Reflex reduces system latency to further improve player competitiveness, allowing them to acquire targets faster, react quicker, and increase aim precision simply by enabling NVIDIA Reflex in a game’s settings.

NVIDIA Reflex is a game-changer with up to 50% less system latency

John Lafleur, Overwatch Technical Director

After a few weeks of testing on the public test region, NVIDIA Reflex is available today on the live version of Overwatch, reducing system latency by up to 50% for a significantly more responsive experience.

The split second improvements in targeting that NVIDIA Reflex enables can be the difference between digital life or death. By reducing system latency for Overwatch players Reflex ensures the best experience for gamers regardless of hero, ability, or weapons used.

Rust and Ghostrunner Are Adding Reflex, too.

NVIDIA also announced two new games that will be getting NVIDIA Reflex latency reducing technology soon.

  • Facepunch Studios’ phenomenally successful Rust
  • One More Level’s futuristic ninja action game Ghostrunner

In Rust everyone wants you dead, reduced latency with Reflex will make sure you’re staying ahead of the competition. It’s as simple as enabling Reflex through the options menu.”

NVIDIA Reflex Keeps Getting Better

Other improvements to NVIDIA Reflex include:

  •  A new enhancement to ‘Boost’ mode that can reduce latency in certain CPU-bound scenarios.
  • Fortnite has implemented the optimization and players can see up to a 15% latency reduction in these CPU bound scenarios.
  • Valorant will be releasing their update in the next patch.  Early testing is showing a 10-15% improvement in CPU-bound scenarios.
  • Introduction of four new Reflex Latency Analyzer-compatible mice, including:
  • ASUS ROG KERIS WIRED
  • ASUS ROG KERIS WIRELESS
  • CORSAIR SABRE PRO CHAMPION SERIES
  • CORSAIR SABRE RGB PRO CHAMPION SERIES
  • Three mice manufacturers have released firmware updates to enable Reflex Latency Analyzer, including:
  • AOPEN Fire Legend GM310
  • Acer Predator Cestus 350
  • Razer Deathadder v2 Pro
  • Acer has released the new Predator X25 360Hz Reflex Latency Analyzer-equipped monitor
  • NVIDIA’s GeForce Experience companion application has been updated to include several user- requested features, including:
  • The ability to log all performance monitoring data to a CSV file – including FPS and  latency stats from Reflex Latency Analyzer.
  • The ability to choose the number of samples that Reflex Latency Analyzer will use to average.
  • The addition of GPU utilization to the latency metrics set to help easily identify when a game is CPU- or GPU-bound.
