England fall to League B as Germany lose at home

With the 1-0 loss to Italy at San Siro, England are seemingly guaranteed to finish at the bottom of their group. They have not picked up a single win in their group as of yet, and are facing Germany in their final game of the group stage. Gareth Southgate has come under increased pressure since the team has only scored one goal in their last five games, conceding seven.

With 10 points, Hungary only need a draw against Italy in their final game to seal qualification to the knockout round. Adam Szalai scored an early goal at the Red Bull stadium to give the visitors the lead. Despite Germany having the majority of possession, they weren’t able to get an equaliser to keep their hopes of qualification alive.
