England made it to the finals of Euro 2024 after their win against the Netherlands in the semifinals. However, one interesting stat in which the Three Lions are dominant in is the distance covered at the tournament.
Declan Rice is number one in terms of the most distance covered at the tournament, covering 74.9 kilometres in 600 minutes of football. The dynamic midfielder has been vital to England’s success this year, and his box-to-box brilliance is highlighted even further with this metric.

While an important point to note is England’s extra time against Switzerland, their players still dominate the stats. Kyle Walker, Phil Foden, Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane are in the top ten, with all players covering over 63 kilometres at the tournament so far.
Although England have been strongly criticised for the style of football they have played at the Euros so far, no one can take the results away from them. And after the impressive showing in the semifinals, no one will count them out completely against Spain in the finals.
