Despite being only 16 years old, Brazilian wonderkid Endrick has been attracting interest from some of the top clubs in the world. He recently became the youngest goalscorer in the history of Palmeiras, and has achieved a tally of three goals in five league appearances.
The likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG and Chelsea have all been keeping tabs on the player. But, as of right now, he is focused on staying at Palmeiras for he won’t be allowed to move abroad until he is 18 due to legal barriers.
Endrick speaks out about interest from European clubs
Here is what the player had to say when asked about the interest from European clubs: “I don’t care, no. I’m at Palmeiras, my head is in Palmeiras. I don’t care who is coming from outside. I’m making my career and giving my life for Palmeiras. Obviously, if one day I go to Europe, my head will be on the team, but I have to do my job at Palmeiras, do my best. I don’t like to see who’s after me, scouting. I just want to play and make my family happy.”
There was recent speculation that suggested Real Madrid were on the verge of finalising a transfer. However, Endrick’s father has denied those claims:
“There’s nothing decided for Real Madrid or any other club. We’ve no preference yet.”
“We’ll decide in the next months, the club that will pay what Palmeiras want and show us the best technical project for Endrick, will sign the boy”.
